MAYURI SANTOOR – INDIAN HARP HANDMADE MODEL

Artistic Antique Design with Tun Wood Construction

This Mayuri Santoor, also known as the Indian Harp Santoor, is beautifully handcrafted and decorated in an artistic and antique style. The soundboard is made from well-seasoned tun wood, while the frame is crafted using a combination of tun wood and steamed beech, ensuring strength, stability, and refined tonal response. The instrument produces a sustaining sound with fine tonal quality, suitable for both classical and experimental music.

Sympathetic Strings, Extra Resonator & Built-in Pickup

Uniquely designed, this santoor features 11 sympathetic (taraf) strings on both sides, adding depth, resonance, and harmonic richness to the sound. An additional resonator fitted beneath the santoor further enhances projection and sustain. As a special addition, it comes with a built-in electric pickup, allowing the instrument to be amplified easily through a single output jack for stage or studio performance.
